And why in the world people are so upset about the mandatory spaying/neutering legislation when we have so many unwanted animals. If this article upsets you, please get involved with humane organizations, contact your city & state officials, and make a difference. This is not an acceptable way to treat our fellow creatures. As the Dalai Lama said, "Today, more than ever before, life must be characterized by a sense of universal responsibility, not only nation to nation and human to human, but also human to other forms of life."
